The Tigers won their fourth in a row with a 2-0 win over the Mariners yesterday. Nate Robertson pulled through for Mark with a very strong outing, only allowing two hits in seven innings pitched.
With a win today, the Tigers will sweep Seattle at Safeco Field for the first time since August 2000.
You couldn't ask for a more exciting matchup this afternoon in Seattle. Both teams are using a potential future ace. The Tigers send out Justin Verlander (1-2, 5.40). While Felix Hernandez (0-2, 6.14) takes the mound for Seattle.
Also, for once, Fox Sports Detroit is airing a Verlander start. The game is also scheduled to be broadcast on WB stations in Detroit as well as AM 1270.
First pitch is at 4:05 p.m.
