This Is Fun

Another day, another hero. On Wednesday night it was Vance Wilson and his eighth inning homer off of the Twins Johan Santana to break a 0-0 tie. Last night Curtis Granderson provided the heroics by smacking a ninth inning, two out homer to tie the game at 6. Today it was Placido Polanco, whose eighth inning pinch hit single gave the Tigers a 1-0 lead, which ultimately was the final score. The win today over the Reds clinched yet another series win for the Tigs this season, their 3rd in a row. And this streak includes sweeps over two division rivals, the Twins and the Tribe.

Nate Robertson had a great outing today, only giving up 3 hits and striking out 7 (including walking 5). 2 of the hits were doubles, yet Nate was able to get out of those innings with no harm done. This is a great sign from a pitcher who seemed to have disastrous innings in the past, not being able to stop the bleeding when it was really needed. Getting out of jams seems to be a recurring theme this season for Tigers pitching.

Oh, and one more thing:

Wow, that's beautiful. The Tigers are playing winning baseball by winning in different ways almost everytime. I really don't want this feeling to end.
