Don't think I posted this yet, but Roman Colon will get the start against the Yankees on Tuesday. This will be in place of Mike Maroth, who went on the DL recently with an elbow injury.
Colon pitched fairly well in his last relief role against the Royals on Thursday. This, coincidently, was the game in which Mike Maroth's performance triggered the trip to the DL.
Over 10 innings this season, Roman has a 3.60 ERA, a 7/5 K/BB ratio, and a 1.50 WHIP. In his last appearance he pitched 5.1 innings, giving up 2 runs on 5 hits during the Tigers come-from-behind victory.
The probable opposing pitcher for that game will be the Yanks Aaron Small (0-2, 8.59).
