5/5 Detroit Tigers @ Minnesota Twins

The Tigers (19-10) take on the Twins tonight in Minneapolis, one week after severely dominating them over a 3 game set. The Tigers outscored the Twins 33-1 in that series, and will attempt to keep their hot streak alive (having won 6 of 7).

Kenny Rogers (4-2, 2.59) will take on Kyle Lohse (1-2, 8.89) tonight at the Metrodome. Lohse gave up 6 runs over 5.2 innings last time he faced the Tigers.

Dmitri Young will return to the lineup tonight for the Tigs and bat 8th.

Update [2006-5-5 21:0:29 by Mark]:Placido Polanco is day-to-day with a sore back, which is the reason why he is not in the lineup tonight:

Just when the Tigers regained Young's services Friday, they gained another question mark. Second baseman Placido Polanco was out of Friday's lineup with a sore back that has become a recurring problem.

Polanco said his back has bothered him for the last 3-4 weeks.
