It Keeps Getting Better...

It's been a tough stretch for Dmitri Young. He's been on and off with injuries so far this season, been charged with domestic violence, and there were reports he had been checked into the Betty Ford Clinic. Well, let's add something to the list of mishaps for DY:

BLOOMFIELD HILLS, Mich. (AP) -- Detroit Tigers designated hitter Dmitri Young and his attorney did not appear at a scheduled court hearing Tuesday, leading a perturbed judge to require that the lawyer provide documentation of the player's whereabouts by the end of the day.

Young is charged with domestic violence and is accused of choking a 21-year-old Toledo, Ohio, woman on April 14 at the Townsend Hotel in Birmingham.
If convicted of the misdemeanor charge, the 32-year-old Young could face up to 93 days in jail and a $500 fine. He is in his 11th major league season and fifth with Detroit.
