Here is what the Free Press had to say about the Soriano to Detroit rumors, and what it would take to bring the Nationals slugger to the Tigers:

Washington officials are requesting a package that includes Sanchez, rising prospect Jair Jurrjens (3-2, 2.78 at Double-A Erie) and a position player, likely outfielder Brent Clevlen, a former second-round pick.

Yikes. That's a pretty high price for a guy that would more than likely bolt at the end of the season. Although the Tigers would get a couple supplemental draft picks due to Soriano's hypothetical departure, giving up more than one pitching prospect may not be the best idea. Sanchez and Jurrjens? May be a little too much. Maybe Dombrowski can pull that asking price down somewhat.
