Today the Tigers brought up OF Brent Clevlen from AA Erie and replaced P Colby Lewis on the Tigers major league roster with him. Lewis was called up to Detroit from Toledo a few days ago, replacing OF Alexis Gomez on the roster. This was seemingly a move to help out a bullpen that may have grown tired after logging a lot of innings in previous games.
Clevlen's call up will more than likely last about as long as it takes in order to bring Gomez back up to the roster. With Craig Monroe hobbled over the last week or so and a small injury occurring last night, Clevlen may just be on the roster as a precaution incase there needs to be any kind of defensive OF sub.
