Maybe it was just me, but didn't last night's game seem like a playoff game? You have to hand it to the Minnesota fans. They sold out the Metrodome and were very vocal as they cheered on their Twins.
The Tigers were able to get to Francisco Liriano early, scoring two runs in the first inning. However, after that, Liriano dominated and struck out 12. That wouldn't be enough, though. The Tigers persevered and won 3-2 in 10 innings. Tonight, the Tigers go for their 70th win of the season.
This evening's game will feature lefty Nate Robertson (9-6, 3.70) facing the Twins' Brad Radke (9-7, 4.74).
The game can be seen on TV 20 in Detroit and heard on AM 1270.
First pitch: 7:10 p.m.
