I'm sure most, if not all of you already know this, but Justin Verlander has been selected as a candidate for the final spot on the American League All Star Team.
After White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen mangled the AL roster, stuffing it with his own players, it could be a very close decision for the last spot.
Paul Konerko is having a very solid season, but Travis Hafner is statistically superior in every category except hits. The selection of Mark Buerhle absolutely baffles me. I have no clue how he could make the All Star roster ahead of Curt Schilling, Francisco Liriano, or Justin Verlander.
With Hafner and Liriano also in contention for the last spot, Verlander will need all the help he can get. Hopefully, with a good start today and your help, he'll get voted in.
