Despite the two game losing streak for the Tigers, one of the players got some good news recently - Magglio Ordonez.
Ordonez took a call from American League all-star manager Ozzie Guillen and was told that he was now a member of the AL all-star team:
Ordonez said Tuesday that he has accepted an invitation from American League manager Ozzie Guillen to join this season's AL All-Star team. "Ozzie called me today and asked me," Ordonez said. "I'm excited to go."
Magglio joins his teammates Kenny Rogers and Pudge Rodriguez on the AL all-star team. The all-star game is taking place on Tuesday in Pittsburgh.
