9/7 Detroit Tigers @ Minnesota Twins

The Tigers head to Minnesota for a four-game series having lost two in a row to the Mariners and on the heels of waiving Dmitri Young. They aren't exactly riding high. In fact, if the Tigers are swept by the Twins, they will find themselves in second place in the AL Central.

I've asked it before for other series, but how many games do you think the Tigers MUST win in Minnesota? I say they need to split the series.

The Tigers will look to Justin Verlander (15-7, 3.27) to get the series off to a good start. Scott Baker (4-7, 6.55) will take the mound for the Twins.

The game can be seen nationally on ESPN 2 and locally on FSN Detroit. It can be heard on AM 1270.

First pitch: 8:10 p.m.
