THT is a great baseball website with a lot of really interesting statistical analysis - it's a must read for any baseball fan.

Detroit Tigers Weblog and D-Town Baseball both have content up regarding recent Leyland comments concerning Neifi Perez, everyone's favorite utility infielder (Billfer's post, Eric's post). DTW has the entire transcript from the radio interview in which he stated that Neifi was "terrible" last season.

Lee continues to put up good saber stuff over at Tiger Tales. Lately he has been churning out post highlighting fielding ranks of all positions, with his latest being a post ranking the league's right fielders. He has also done 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, LF, & CF. I'd suggest checking these fielding studies out, as they are all pretty interesting.

The Indians have signed OF Trot Nixon to a one year deal worth $3 million. Ryan at Let's Go Tribe is wondering if Nixon can stay healthy enough this season to be a productive part in a possible Tribe postseason appearance - but overall feels like this was a low-risk move that the Indians could afford to make.

Will at Royals Review reviews the Royals' PECOTA numbers for the 2007 season...most notably free-agent signing Gil Meche, David DeJesus and Alex Gordon - who is already in his young career being projected to make a big splash.

The Cheat at South Side Sox broke the news that the White Sox avoided arbitration by signing 3B Joe Crede to a one year, 4.94 million dollar deal. Tigers fans, of course, cringe at the every mentioning of the name Joe Crede. Ugh.
