Zach Miner Up and Starting Today

We just can't get a steady rotation going, can we?

Today Mike Maroth, who was scheduled to start game one of today's doubleheader against the Red Sox, was scratched off of the lineup card due to illness. He will be replaced by Zach Miner, who was called up today to take a spot on the roster vacated by Jeremy Bonderman. Miner will get the start in Maroth's place, facing off against Boston's Julian Tavares.

This is more than likely a one game deal (I don't see any other way) for Zach, as he will be sent down in order for Andrew Miller to make the start Tomorrow.

Miner got knocked around quite a bit in Toledo this season before stringing together a few good outings for the Hens. He hasn't given up an earned run in 13.0 innings, but still holds an 0-4 record with a 5.57 ERA.
