Pre-Game Warm-Ups - 06/15

Jason Beck is reporting that both Carlos Guillen and Placido Polanco will return to the lineup tonight.

Speaking of Polanco, Todd Zolecki - the Phillies beat writer for the Philadelphia Inquirer - takes a look back at that trade with the Tigers in his blog today. (Incidentally, that deal was made on my birthday, which I'd completely forgotten. I'm just sayin'...)

Ozzie Guillen had some nice words about the Tigers (as a warning to the Phillies) on his way out of Philadelphia Wednesday.

I'm with Billfer: You can officially say goodbye to Roman Colon. After reading this account of a fight he got into with teammates in the Mud Hens clubhouse, you tell me if he has a place in the Tigers' organization anymore.

You've surely read this elsewhere already, but Vance Wilson required Tommy John surgery on his injured right elbow. (How often does a catcher need that?) The ligament replacement procedure was performed yesterday in New York, and recovery will take nine to 12 months. So you can probably get used to Mike Rabelo backing up Pudge Rodriguez.

Over at The Wayne Fontes Experience, Big Al wrote an open letter to Tigers GM Dave Dombrowski about getting some bullpen help.
