Those who belong to the BYB site on Facebook (and if not, here's a link for you) may have already read about this. But for the rest of you, I just wanted to let everyone know that Bless You Boys will be undergoing a re-design as part of the SBN 2.0 upgrade. If you read the other SBN baseball sites, you've probably already seen what the changes look like. The new design looks great, and the new features look very promising.
What's included among those features? Diaries (which will be called 'Fanshots') will be easier to post and placed more prominently on the page. You'll have avatars, be able to post photos and videos, and create links and clips to articles and chats you find interesting. It'll probably take a little while for everyone (including me) to get used to all the new stuff, but once we get comfortable, I'm hoping it'll be a lot of fun.
Right now, we're set to launch the new site on Thursday, just in time for Opening Day. If you're not able to access the site for a little while that morning, please check back later in the day and everything should be up and running.
If you're curious what things will look like, check out some of the other SBN baseball sites that have already upgraded. Athletics Nation, Lone Star Ball, Viva El Birdos, Halos Heaven, Bleed Cubbie Blue, and Minor League Ball are among the sites that were first to get the new hotness. A handful of others are on board now, as SBN tries to switch all of the MLB sites over this week.
