D-Train Goes Back to D-Town For Repairs

2008 is just not working out well for Dontrelle Willis.

After making his first rehab appearance with the Lakeland Flying Tigers last Sunday, Willis hasn't pitched since then and now is headed back to Detroit to have his right knee examined by team doctors. And yes, that is the same knee that he hyperextended back in April on a soggy mound in Chicago.

It's not clear whether or not the knee was giving Willis trouble during game action in Lakeland or if he felt discomfort after pitching. The examination should be conducted within the next day or so.

Thanks to Zappatista for posting the news earlier today in the comments.
