Where Can We Watch Today's Game?

Okay, so the Detroit Tigers and Chicago White Sox are making up a game that was rained out two weekends ago, in order to decide the AL Central. That's cool. We're excited. With no other teams playing today, it's almost like playoff baseball. Except, well, the Tigers only have 74 wins, so...

But here's a question that popped up shortly after it became apparent that the Tigers would be playing today: What channel is the game on?

Today's game can be seen nationally on ESPN2, beginning at 2 p.m. EST. (No word on who the broadcast team will be. If Awful Announcing doesn't know, what chance do we have? Dan Shulman, Orel Hershiser, and Steve Phillips are the normal Monday night crew for ESPN, however.)

Regionally, the game will also be telecast on WGN, presumably with Hawk and DJ on the call. So if you insist on giving yourself a headache and ear bleed, that's the way to go.

Why won't FSN Detroit be showing this afternoon's game? Maybe it has something to do with broadcast rights. Or whether FSN could get production and announcing crews down to Chicago or not. Such things are beyond me.
