The Detroit Tigers Podcast Goes Daily

With the 2009 season about to begin, it's roundtable time at The Detroit Tigers Podcast. Joining Mike McClary to talk some Tigers were his fellow writers at The Daily Fungo, John Milton and Jim Craddock, Big Al from The Wayne Fontes Experience, and I managed to show up fashionably late to the conversation about 15 minutes in. (Yes, I'm that guy.)

Topics covered include the drama surrounding Gary Sheffield and Nate Robertson (Mike let me rant about Nate even though I was late), the Tigers' closer situation, expectations for the injured Jeremy Bonderman and Joel Zumaya, and the future of one Mr. Dontrelle Willis. Oh, and we have to predict how the Tigers will finish the 2009 season, because that is just how it's done.

But as usual, I'm burying the lede. The more exciting news from DTP-ville is that Mike will now be doing a daily Detroit Tigers Podcast, beginning today. These will be short, sweet, and simple, with a look at the game of the day, a recap of the previous game, and some Tigers history sprinkled in for good measure.

Episodes #67 and #68 can be downloaded directly or via the RSS feed. You can also click over to the DTP's home page and/or The Daily Fungo for more. Mike would love your feedback by posting a comment or calling in to his listener line (602-903-5174). Thanks for listening!
