Sports Illustrated's Jon Heyman reported on Twitter the Tigers are apparently in talks with Adam Dunn and could be getting close to a deal.
dunn talk appears serious. #tigers could have very big day.
Dunn (Fangraphs stats) will almost certainly be the middle-of-the-order designated hitter for the Tigers if this deal comes to fruition, because he is a horrible fielder. However he has hit 38 or more home runs every year since 2004 and has a career on-base percentage of .381.
Fangraphs did a crowdsource for his expected offseason take and came up with an average of 3.2 years and $12.40 million with a median of 3 years, 12 million.
We'll have more on this soon, but just wanted to get this news out there for you to discuss.
More: Or maybe the Tigers aren't close! Heyman later tweeted:
hearing dunn isn't close yet with any 1 team, tho tigers are showing keen interest.
