No surprise there. Detroit chose not to offer anyone arbitration, the Tigers announced via Twitter.
In addition to the big three of Johnny Damon, Gerald Laird and Magglio Ordonez, Bobby Seay and Jeremy Bonderman were also eligible but clearly would not be offered. All are eligible to re-sign with the Tigers.
So unlike like year where Detroit offered arbitration to Brandon Lyon and Fernando Rodney and were able to pick up a few extra draft picks, there will be none this year. If Detroit signs another team's Type A free agent, they could be waiting a pretty long time to make their first pick next June.
