Update:
FoxSports.com's Jon Paul Morosi and the Associated Press both report that Jhonny Peralta will sign with the Tigers for two years and $11.25 million total. Peralta confirmed this to the Free Press. MLB.com's Jason Beck adds there is a third-year club option or buyout. The option costs $6 million for the third year with a $500k buyout.
Prior:
Not much to report on this yet, but ESPN.com's Enrique Rojas reports the Tigers are close to signing Jhonny Peralta for a two-year deal worth $11.25 million.
"There are some details to be worked out, but there is a mutual interest to finalize this", the source told ESPNdeportes.com on Saturday.
Two years of Brandon Inge and Peralta on the left side of the infield is not exactly the best news I've heard today. But the market and the lack of internal options destined it, I guess.
