FoxSport's Jon Paul Morosi stirred the rumor mill ahead of next week's Winter Meetings by stating the three teams most consider the favorites of the Jayson Werth derby are Boston, Detroit and Philadelphia.

The Tigers, meanwhile, are more confident in their ability to sign Werth than Crawford, a source indicated Thursday. Detroit signed Victor Martinez away from Boston earlier this offseason, but team officials believe they need at least one more impact hitter for the outfield.
You might remember I am a big proponent of seeing Werth in Detroit, though at this point I wouldn't mind seeing Magglio Ordonez return either.
In any case, at least we know the Tigers aren't done yet, and aren't just looking for a lefty reliever.
