Morning Prowl: Catching up on roster moves and storylines

Nothing much is up and I have a lot of writing to get done for places that aren't this website, so here's a few links I gathered.

Like half of them are from MLB Trade Rumors, as we catch up on news that affects the Tigers.

• Phillies Agree To Deal With J.C. Romero
  That's one less lefty on the market.

• Blue Jays On Verge Of Deal With Octavio Dotel?
  OK, now it's two lefty relievers (possibly) off the market.

• Marlins Extend Ricky Nolasco
  Doesn't look like the Marlins are in any mood to move Ricky Nolasco now that they've locked him up for three years at a reasonable price.

• Brandon Webb reportedly joining Texas Rangers
  The Arizona Republic reports it's "incentive laden." I'd have loved to see Detroit do a similar move. Maybe with Brad Penny ...

• Tiger Tales: A Detroit Tigers Blog: Catcher Defense - Part 1
  Interesting research by Lee shows what Mike Rogers has told us, too. Martinez did not cost his team many runs when playing catcher.
  
  According to these numbers, new Tigers catcher/designated hitter Victor Martinez cost the Red Sox pitchers 5 runs with his pitcher handling in 2010. Alex Avila cost the Tigers staff 2 runs last year. Gerald Laird saved the Tigers 2 runs.
