The Tigers shook loose some rust before the Grapefruit League opener tomorrow against Toronto, and so will I .

I guess the biggest news of the day might be the injury to Brennan Boesch, who reportedly took an outfield fly off his face. Fortunately he walked off the field, but it required stitches. Boesch was 2-for-2 at that point in time.

I don't want to spend a lot of time box score reciting, but Casper Wells and Ryan Strieby each had a home run.

Phil Coke pitched a pair of scoreless innings, striking out three, in making his Tigers' debut.

Scott Sizemore did not make his start at second base as anticipated, because the field was a bit damp and the Tigers did not want to take any chances.

And the real important news of the day: we have a Comment of the Night winner to announce, as chosen by a cabal of Bless You Boys brass!

Referring to the misspelling "Ryan Rayburn" on the Florida Southern College box score after the Tigers' outfielder walked, ChrisDTX said:

I figured he would have reached on a spelling error

Someone please pass this on to the Mocs, thanks!
