So the Tigers got rained out Sunday, but not before the Yankees touched them for eight runs. The game didn't count for the stats that don't count, and Jim Leyland apparently wasn't very happy about his guys being out in the field in the rain.
And he's got a good point. It's the end of spring training within a week. Why risk injuries?
That's part of the reason Jon Kibler got the start rather than Max Scherzer. Neither Kibler nor Robbie Weinhardt did anything positive, however.
But whatever. Another day, another day closer to the regular season opener, which is now just a week away. Huzzah!

Billfer returns! Putting eggs in the Willis basket
Like me, Bill can't figure out why the Tigers would want to make a big bet on Dontrelle Willis a) returning to pre-2008 form, and b) maining it more than one game this time. - Tiger Geist was not surprised to see Seay injured after how much he pitched last season, and he'd a bit perturbed as he thinks the Tigers abused Seay's arm while babying others.
