So the Tigers got rained out Sunday, but not before the Yankees touched them for eight runs. The game didn't count for the stats that don't count, and Jim Leyland apparently wasn't very happy about his guys being out in the field in the rain.
And he's got a good point. It's the end of spring training within a week. Why risk injuries?
That's part of the reason Jon Kibler got the start rather than Max Scherzer. Neither Kibler nor Robbie Weinhardt did anything positive, however.
But whatever. Another day, another day closer to the regular season opener, which is now just a week away. Huzzah!

What had been a slow Spring Training for trade discussions is beginning to pick up a little bit for the Tigers. However, anything they do isn't going to impact their starting lineup.

As it was alluded to in a tweet Sunday, Tigers GM Dave Dombrowski shot down the rumors that the Tigers are not comfortable with Scott Sizemore at second base. "A lot of clubs have been calling on our pitching," Dombrowski said. "But as far as Scott Sizemore, we're happy."
