MiLB Roundup: Erie still winless

Columbus 3, Toledo 2

Columbus broke a 2-2 tie in the bottom of the eighth inning off Daniel Schlereth, who walked two and gave up two hits in taking the loss. Jeff Frazier hit a home run for the Hens. Ryan Strieby had an RBI. Toledo is 3-4, in last place.

Binghampton 4, Erie 3 (13 innings)

SP Mark Sorensen (of Michigan State!) struck out seven and walked two in 5 1/3 innings to get the win. The Flying Tigers are 4-3, in second place.

West Michigan 6, Bowling Green 2

Third baseman Wade Gaynor made his return to Bowling Green, Ky,. where he attended college, but had just a hit. The rest of the 'Caps lifted him up, however.
