Dontrelle Willis was set to face the team he had the best start of his Tigers career against. But he's come down with a cold, apparently. So Aussie lefty reliever Brad Thomas will be taking the mound for the Tigers instead tonight. That should be ... interesting.

The good news is, he's thrown as many as 52 pitches this year -- in his last appearance, actually, which was more than five days ago. With luck he can pitch into the fourth. Eddie Bonine may be able to go tonight, too, as he only threw eight pitches last night. However, Jim Leyland told reporters:

"Thomas hasn’t pitched in awhile and I want to be careful with (Eddie) Bonine. I want to keep him in that role.”

Unfortunately, this is going to be pretty taxing on the bullpen.

Get well soon, Dontrelle!
