Minor League Roundup: Toledo, Lakeland notch wins

Toledo 7, Louisville 4 (box)

Six of the first seven Mudhens struck out, but Toledo eventually managed to find seven runs to even their season at 1-1. Brent Dlugach had a double and a triple for 3 RBI. Clete Thomas scored two runs, had two hits, drove in two runs. Scot Drucker got the win in relief, with help from Josh Rainwater, whom he now owes some grub.

Trenton 3, Erie 1 (box)

The offense is a bit slower to come for the SeaWolves, who are now 0-2 and have scored one run in 18 innings. Erie SP L.J. Gagnier had five shutout innings, no walks and five strikeouts. Zach Simons took the loss. The box scores are still broken but Cesar Nicholas had two hits for Erie.

Lakeland 6, Tampa 0 (box)

Andy Bouchie hit a home run and Brent Wyatt had three hits as Lakeland improved to 1-1. Mark Sorensen and a trio of relievers combined for the seven-hit shutout.

Lake County 7, West Michigan 1 (box)

LC starter Joseph Garner recorded 11 strikeouts in just four innings. Dang! Jamie Johnson had two hits for West Michigan. Jade Todd took the loss.
