The Tigers just took three out of four from the Evil Empire. Great start against the AL East. And if you were to look at the standings, you'd think Detroit's task gets a little easier against Boston.

Personally, I don't buy that. If they hadn't been whipped by the Yankees repeatedly, they'd look a lot better right now. They're still pretty good. Maybe not as intimidating, but still good.

On the bright side, Clay Buccholz is walking too many people and giving up too many baserunners.

On the not so bright side, so is Tigers starter Max Scherzer, who also has three consective poor starts. And the Red Sox have an offense that has scored the third-most runs in the American League.
