MLM Recap: Adam Wilk goes 7 strong as Lakeland beats Tampa

Sure, the Tigers lost. But how's the farm doing?

AAA: Indianapolis 8, Toledo 1

Ryan Ketchner got beat up over 5.1 innings- he gave up 4 runs on 5 hits (2 homers) and 3 walks with only 2 strikeouts. Scot Drucker didn't do much better- he went 1.2 innings and gave up 3 runs on 4 hits, a walk and 2 strikeouts. Ryan Raburn went 2-4 and Brent Dlugach went 2-4 with a double.

AA: Bowie 3, Erie 2

A rain delay forced Andy Oliver out of the game after a hitless inning and a strikeout. The bullpen did okay, though. Anthony Shawler gave up one run on a solo homer as well as a walk and 4 strikeouts in his three innings, but the problem was Jared Gayhart, who gave up 2 runs on 3 hits, a walk and a strikeout in his 2 innings of work. Zach Simons pitched two hitless innings of relief with a strikeout. Cale Iorg was 1-4 with a homer, and Shawn Roof was 1-3 with a walk.

A+: Lakeland 5, Tampa 1

Adam Wilk went 7 innings, giving up 1 run on 4 hits and a walk with 5 strikeouts. Rawley Bishop was 2-4 with a double, Alden Carrithers, Bryan Pounds and Josh Workman were all 2-4.

A: West Michigan 4, South Bend 3

Ramon Lebron had a pretty good start, even if he didn't go deep- 5 innings with 2 runs earned on 2 hits (and a homer), 2 walks and 8 strikeouts. Kenny Faulk picked up the win in extra innings- going 3 innings and giving up only 2 hits while striking out 3. Wade Gaynor was 2-5 with a double, Avisail Garcia was 2-5 with a triple and Jamie Johnson was 2-5.
