Normally I'd have some profiles and stats here, but Armando Galarraga's call-up hasn't been processed by the system yet, and John Lackey's stats aren't showing up, so none of that stuff here.

I can tell you since moving to Boston, Lackey (Fangaphs stats) has an ERA of 4.60 and an xFIP of 4.66. So no surprises there I guess. He's striking out just 5.65 per nine innings -- his least in his major league career. He's walking 3.56, his most. And about half the time the batter hits a ground ball against him.

Galarraga (First Inning stats) is striking out 8.27 per nine innings (or about 21.8% of batters he faces) while walking 7.5 percent of batters. Both are the best stats he's put up since A-ball. However, both his ERA and FIP are around 4.00, so it's not like he's real dominant either. Facing the Red Sox lineup will be a tad-bit more difficult than anything he's seen in Triple-A. Hopefully he comes out aggressive and doesn't let Boston have their way with him.

The bullpen could really use the rest, and the Tigers could really use another series victory against a team from the AL East.

Danny Worth will be making his major league debut -- that's two MLB debuts in two days, folks, and a fifth this season for Detroit -- playing second base and batting ninth.
