Before I get to the recaps, I'd like to call for requests. Right now, I have a draft review in the pipeline as well as the Stars and Scrubs post and a prospect profile on Ramon Lebron (I don't care if his last 4 starts have sucked, I'm writing on him). But I'd be open to suggestions (would you like to see more prospect profiles, or maybe something else in the recaps, like batting leaders and the like).
Onto the recaps!
Scot Drucker made a spot start- he went 3 innings, giving up 4 earned runs on 9 hits, striking out 3. Brendan Wise went 3 innings, striking out 2. Jeff Frazier was 2-4 with 2 home runs (he's now slugging .508 with a .352 wOBA). Wilkin Ramirez was 2-2. He was also involved in a freak double injury play with Brent Dlugach, in the 4th. Ramirez was tagged out in a rundown at first and Dlugach was deciding whether to run from third to home when they both went down at the same time. Both twisted their ankles, and Ramirez left the game.
AA: Erie DNP (off-day)
A+: Dayton 6, Lakeland 4 (11 innings)
Luke Putkonen went 3.2 innings, giving up 4 earned runs with 8 hits and a walk with 3 strikeouts. Robert Waite went 2.1 innings, giving up 1 hit and striking out 1. Alden Carrithers was 1-3 with a walk and Billy Nowlin was 1-5 with a home run.
A: West Michigan DNP (off-day)
