Weather FYI: Saying it's "wet" in the Detroit area is an understatement. It's been raining much of the day in SE MI, with more supposedly on the way. Could the Tigers be as proactive in delaying this game as they were on Monday?

After reading the National Weather Service forecast, I would not be surprised if the game is delayed or has to be stopped at some point during the night.

News and notes:

As announced by the team, Miguel Cabrera and Justin Verlander are your Tigers player and pitcher for the month of May. Miggy hit .344 with 9 home runs and 23 RBI. Verlander was 4-2 with a 2.69 ERA.

The Tribe's Fausto Carmona has allowed 9 runs in 12 innings over his last 2 starts. But Carmona is 6-2 with a 3.45 ERA in 12 starts against the Tigers. Armando Galarraga is 3-3 with a 5.51 ERA in 8 career starts against the Indians. 3 of those starts were in 2009, Galarraga was blasted to the tune of an ugly 9.18 ERA and 0-3 record.

BYB Editor Emeritus Ian Casselberry chimed in on the Dontrelle Willis story in his weekly column at Mlive's Cutoff Man.

Yes, this is now part of the past, and the Tigers have finally shown they're willing to move on. But it's still worth noting just how poor a decision that contract was by Dombrowski. Would anyone argue if it was termed the worst in his 22 years of being a major league general manager?

No argument here...
