The Tigers need to pull off a win today to win this series before the off day tomorrow and trip to The Cell for a series against the White Sox. Johnny Damon could easily make a big contribution to that end, as he owns Bannister - .750 AVG against him over the last five years. Several Tiger hitters in the lineup have never faced him, so they have as good a chance as anyone.

Mostly I'm just hoping that when they do hit, the ball goes towards anyone other than Mike Aviles, as he seems to have some sort of magnet hidden his glove and magical ability to make Tiger outs.

Tigers lineup: Jackson 8, Damon dh, Ordonez 9, Cabrera 3, Boesch 7, Guillen 4, Kelly 5, Avila 2, Santiago 6.

Apparently nobody in the Royals universe bothers to post their daily lineup on a consistent basis, at least nowhere that I can find on twitter. Yet another reason it must suck to be a fan of theirs.
