20 more rounds of draft tomorrow. I will not be liveblogging it, but will have a post up on Thursday if anything good happens. That, and I'll try to put something together about Glenn Ezell leaving the Tigers tomorrow, as well as another Stars and Scrubs for May.
Onto the recaps!
AAA: Lehigh Valley 3, Toledo 0
Alfredo Figaro didn't have a bad start- 6.2 innings pitched with 1 run allowed on 6 hits, 2 walks and 4 strikeouts. But the offense let him down. It was led by Scott Sizemore who was 1-3 with 2 walks.
Again a Tigers affiliate loses by 3. This time, it was Andy Oliver that put in the good start- 5 innings of 3 run ball where he allowed 9 hits and 2 walks with 5 strikeouts. Andy Bouchie was 2-4.
Brayan Villareal got rewarded for a good start unlike the previous two pitchers. He went 7 innings, allowing 1 unearned run on 3 hits and 3 walks with 5 strikeouts. Miguel Mejia allowed 2 hits and a walk in his 2 innings of work, but his 2 strikeouts merits mention. Daniel Fields was 2-4 with a double, Kody Kaiser was 3-4 with 2 doubles and Francisco Martinez was 3-4 with a homer.
A: Cedar Rapids 6, West Michigan 2
Jade Todd did not have a good start- he allowed 6 runs in 2.2 innings, doing so by giving up 6 hits and 4 walks to only 2 strikeouts. Nolan Moody deserves credit for going 3.1 innings, giving up 2 hits and striking out 2. Avisail Garcia was 1-3 with a walk, and Billy Alvino doubled.
