If you had "Lose 8-2 to the last-place Indians" in your pool, you win!
If you were rooting for the Tigers ... you lose! Oy vaye.
Max Scherzer must have been rusty, as he walked, what was it, five of the first 12 batters in the game. Yet he finished with seven strikeouts and five walks in five innings. He dropped to 0-6 against the American League Central. A word on that stat: Four of those losses came before his trip to Toledo to fix his mechanics, and one of the losses after the trip came when the Tigers were shut out by the White Sox. Still, that trend better reverse quickly.
Robbie Weinhardt didn't pitch his best. Brad Thomas pitched much worse.
Not much else I really want to say. It was ugly. It happens.
Let's rinse this game out of try again tomorrow ... twice!
