Super Mega MLM Recap: Playing Catchup

Remember these? Sorry for the week-long delay, I was clearly too spoiled by the All-Star break (and a bit busy with GRE practice) but that's no excuse for slacking off for a week. Today's mega recap will be a little different- I'll link all the box scores, but I'm only going to do written recaps for this week- otherwise it's far too much to read and to write. I promise I wont' let myself get this far behind again- I actually do enjoy writing recaps most of the time, I just got sidetracked this week.

Onto the recaps!

Wednesday

AAA: Toledo 11, Pawtucket 2

Scot Drucker's 5 innings of scoreless ball (with only 4 hits and a walk to 5 strikeouts) merits mentioning here. As does Wil Rhymes, who went 3-4 with a double.

AA: Erie 4, Reading 1

Brooks Brown gave up 7 hits in 7 innings, with an earned run allowed and 2 walks and 2 strikeouts. Audy Ciriaco was 2-4 with a double and a homer.

A+: Fort Myers 13, Lakeland 4

Brandon Douglas went 2-4. The pitching was atrocious. Enough said.

A: Wisconsin 3, West Michigan 1

Victor Larez got hit a bit- he gave up 2 earned runs (3 total) on 6 hits in 6 innings. The 5 strikeouts helps to make up for it though. Avisail Garcia was 3-4 with a double.

SS: Connecticut vs. Vermont PPD

Tuesday

AAA: Toledo 7, Pawtucket 1

5.1 innings for Gilbert De La Vera, who gave up 1 run on 6 hits and a walk with 5 strikeouts. Scott Sizemore was 1-4 with a homer.

AA: Reading 12, Erie 9

Michael Bertram was 3-4 with a walk while Jeff Kunkel homered. The pitching was... not worth commenting on.

A+: Fort Myers 2, Lakeland 1

I feel bad for Luke Putkonen- he only surrendered one earned run on 3 hits and 3 walks in his seven innings. He also struck out 3. That should have gotten him a win. Brandon Douglas was 2-5 with a double and both John Murrian and Francisco Martinez were 2-5.

A: West Michigan DNP (off-day)

SS: Connecticut 2, Vermont 1

Brennan Smith went 5 innings, giving up 1 earned run on 5 hits and 4 walks with 5 strikeouts. Chris Sedon was 2-4 with a double and PJ Polk was 2-3.

Monday

AAA: Toledo 4, Pawtucket 1

Alfredo Figaro making his case to break into the Tigers rotation: 6.2 IP with 10 strikeouts to 0 walks with 6 hits and a single run allowed. Fu-Ti Ni struck out 3, while walking 1 and allowing one hit in an inning.

AA: Reading 6, Erie 1

Ugh. Luis Marte's 2 strikeouts and hitless inning were the pitching highlight. Cale Iorg was 2-4 with a double.

A+: Lakeland 1, Fort Myers 0

Jacob Turner unleashed a can of hurt on Fort Myers- he went 5 innings, giving up 2 hits and 2 walks with 4 strikeouts. Chris White went 2-3 with a walk.

A: Kane County 8, West Michigan 2

The pitching was a trainwreck. Corey Jones was 2-3 with a walk and Tony Plagman was 1-4 with a double.
