MLM Recap: Rawley Bishop goes 2-4 with a double for Erie

First a couple links: more system movement courtesy of Matt Wallace. The big news is stuff we're all aware of: Crosby shut down, Villareal to Erie, Furbush and Oliver to Toledo. Something a little more unusual comes to us from Scot Drucker, Mud Hens minor league pitcher. He has a blog on MLB Blogs (he's also on Twitter) discussing the new minor leagues drug testing rule and lack of a players union for the minors. I find myself agreeing a little bit, though I'd think that more money needs to go into things like the food budget (low salaries mean these kids are eating garbage, and garbage in produces garbage out), but he's got a point.

AAA: Toledo 5, Buffalo 1

Ryan Ketchner allowed 1 earned run on 5 hits with 2 walks and 6 strikeouts. Justin Henry was 3-4 with a double.

AA: Altoona 11, Erie 2

Brooks Brown got lit up in 7 innings, allowing 5 earned runs on 9 hits and 1 walk with 4 strikeouts. Rawley Bishop was 2-4 with a double.

A+: Lakeland DNP (off-day)

A: Beloit 8, West Michigan 2

Victor Larez surrendered 5 earned runs in 5 innings on 8 hits and a walk with no strikeouts. Wade Gaynor was 2-3 with a double and a walk and Avisail Garcia continued his recent hot streak, going 2-4.

SS: Connecticut 3, Lowell 2

Josue Carreno (how do you pronounce that first name?) went 5 scoreless innings, giving up 2 hits and 2 walks with 6 strikeouts. Ryan Soares was 3-4.
