MLM Recap: Brayan Villarreal dominates for 7.2 innings, Cale Iorg hits walk off bomb

I'm going to start out and apologize for what has been light coverage the past week and what will continue to be light coverage until early next week. I've been studying for the GRE and it's kicking my tail. Expect something on the Seawolves up this week, and then a special morning lede for some of our new commenters (and maybe a veteran or two).

Onto the recaps!

AAA: Pawtucket 10, Toledo 6

Charlie Furbush got absolutely lit up by Pawtucket- he allowed 7 earned runs in 4 innings off of 8 hits, four of which were homers. The two strikeouts weren't exactly great either. Josh Rainwater got 2 strikeouts in 3 hitless innings of work. Justin Henry was 3-4 with a double and a walk.

AA: Erie 2, Altoona 0

The big news here is Cale Iorg's walkoff homer. He went 3-6 on the day. Alden Carrithers also went 3-6. But of even more awesome news is the showing by Brayan Villarreal, who went 7.2 scoreless innings, allowing a mere 4 hits with 8 strikeouts. Mmm... strikeouts.

A+: Bradenton 3, Lakeland 1

First, to go off topic for a moment-former Tigers prospect Jamie Skelton is playing for the Bradenton Marauders. He went 2-3 tonight. Now, in Tigers news, Mark Sorensen allowed 1 earned run on 5 hits with 7 strikeouts. Gustavo Nunez was 2-4 and Bryan Holaday was 1-4 with a double.

A: West Michigan DNP (off-day)

SS: Connecticut DNP (off-day)
