Watch your TV and monitor screens closely, as many of the Bless You Boys community will be in attendance. The long planned and much looked forward to BYB Meet-Up is tonight!

News and notes:

In case you missed it, setup man Ryan Perry is back on the 25 man roster, deemed healthy after his Mud Hens rehab stint. Casey Fein was sent down to Toledo to open a roster spot for Perry.

Miguel Cabrera, who was scratched from Friday's game, is day to day with lower back tightness.

If you are wondering about the white caps being worn by the Tigers this weekend, it's part of an MLB holiday promotion. They are a "Stars and Stripes" cap with an American flag etched into the team logo. All proceeds from sales of the special edition caps will be donated to the Welcome Back Veterans program.

Brennan Bash Boesch and the Big Potato, Papa.Grande, Jose Valverde have been named the June Tigers Player and Pitcher of the Month, respectively. Boesch made himself a regular in the lineup by hitting .337 with 8 home runs and 23 RBI. Valverde continued to dominate, posting an 0.68 ERA with 7 saves in June.

With a victory tonight, Justin Verlander will be the first Tigers pitcher to have 5 consecutive double-digit win seasons since Frank Tanana (85-89).

Johnny Damon needs 4 hits to reach 2500 for his career. It would make him the 92nd player in MLB history to reach the milestone. Damon's home run last night was his first since May 18th.

The Tigers have the best home record in the AL, at 28-9. Let's hope home cooking continues to agree with them.

Congrats go out to former Tiger Kirk Gibson, who was victorious in his first game as a big league manger last night. Gibby's Diamondbacks beat the Dodgers 12-5.

Here's hoping the Tigers bring home a victory with the BYB community in attendance!
