MLM Recap: Charlie Furbush strikes out 8

Scouting reports on the relievers should be up shortly, probably today. West Mich will come tomorrow and Stars and Scrubs probably on Monday (it'll be done this week but I move back into school Monday so I won't have time to write). Prospect rankings will be up shortly after (or as soon as it takes me to get 30 mini-prospect profiles written). And expect a look back at my pre-season predictions as soon as the minor league season ends.

Recap time!

AAA: Indianapolis 4, Toledo 1

Charlie Furbush caught the loss, even though he went 6 strong, giving up 3 runs on 7 hits and 2 walks with 8 strikeouts. Ben Guez was 2-3 and apparently Scott Sizemore is now a shortstop. Sometimes I really hate this organization...

AA: Harrisburg 10, Erie 1

Erie's horse, Brooks Brown, got lit up over 4.1 innings- 7 earned runs on 10 hits (2 homers) with 2 walks and 2 strikeouts. Brandon Jones was 3-4 with a double.

A+: Lakeland 9, Brevard County 2

Luke Sorensen went 7.1 innings, giving up 2 earned runs on 7 hits and 2 walks with 4 strikeouts. Jordan Lennarton was 2-5 with a homer, Daniel Fields was 2-3 with a walk and Francisco Martinez was 2-4 with a walk.

A: Fort Wayne 5, West Michigan 1

For the life of me, I can't understand why Fort Wayne's mascot is an apple with a hat on it's head. Gotta be a Michigan thing... Anyways, Luis Angel Sanz went 4.2 innings, giving up 2 earned runs on 7 hits with 2 walks and 2 strikeouts. Herman Perez was 2-3.

SS: Tri-City 6, Connecticut 0

Josue Carreno went 5 innings, giving up 4 runs (2 earned) on 6 hits (one homer) and a walk with 6 strikeouts. The rest of the box (read: the hitting part) is depressing.
