LJ Gagnier gave up 1 earned run in 7 innings on 3 hits, 2 walks and 2 strikeouts. The run was a homer, unfortunately. Casper Wells was 2-3 with a walk and Andy Dirks, promoted from Erie, was 2-4 with a double.
Rawley Bishop was 1-4 with a double while Brandon Douglas, newly promoted from A+ Lakeland, was 2-4. Duane Below gave up 4 runs in 6.1 innings, in part due to two home runs surrendered. He surrendered 8 hits total while striking out 3.
Jon Kibler went 5.1 innings and surrendered 5 earned runs on 10 hits and 1 walk with a homer. He did have 4 strikeouts. Jordan Lennerton was 3-5 with a double while Bryan Holaday went 0-2 with 2 walks and 2 strikeouts.
A: Great Lakes 7, West Michigan 6
First, let's get it out of the way. Brandon Inge was 2-5 with 2 doubles and 2 strikeouts. Herman Perez was 3-4 while Michael Rockett was 2-4 with a double. Patrick Cooper (a recent promotion from Connecticut) went 5 innings, surrendering 2 runs (1 earned) on 8 hits, a walk and 3 strikeouts.
Clemente Mendoza went 7 innings, allowing 1 earned run on 3 hits (one a homer) and a walk with 3 strikeouts. And he caught the loss because the C-Tigers collected a whopping 3 hits. Josh Ashenbrenner, Chao-Ting Tang and Eric Roof got those hits... but not much else. PJ Polk walked.
