Bondo is going on short rest tonight. He's had only three days rest since his last start. Take that for what you will...

Starting lineups per Jason Beck's Blog:

TIGERS

1. Jackson, CF
2. Santiago, SS
3. Raburn, RF
4. Cabrera, 1B
5. Peralta, DH
6. Inge, 3B
7. Frazier, LF
8. Laird, C
9. Rhymes, 2B

P: Jeremy Bonderman

ANGELS

1. Bobby Abreu, LF
2. Erick Aybar, SS
3. Alberto Callaspo, 3B
4. Torii Hunter, RF
5. Hideki Matsui, DH
6. Maicer Izturis, 2B
7. Mike Napoli, 1B
8. Bobby Wilson, C
9. Peter Bourjos, CF

P: Scott Kazmir

Jim Leyland is sitting both Brennan Boesch and Johnny Damon against the left hand throwing Kazmir. As Leyland said last night, "We've got Boesch in a good groove" and doesn't want him to lose said good groove against Kazmir. The only left-handed bat in the lineup tonight is Will Rhymes. Thus, an already pop gun powered lineup becomes that much more weak.

Notes of interest:

Boesch's home run on Friday was his first in 34 (!) games.

Miguel Cabrera hasn't had an RBI in five games.

With 124 hits, Austin Jackson has the most by a Tigers' rookie since Matt Nokes' 133 hits in 1987. Let's hope Jackson has a better career, as Nokes was never as good as he was as a rookie the remainder of his career.
