I hate two-game series(es?). It's like, you just start and you're finished. That's just weird. There's no arc. No flow and narration. One day you're playing, the next day someone is trying to avoid the sweep. What's the fun in that?
So the Tigers will try to avoid losing he second-half of this schedule-filler series tonight.
If you want to see photos of the first half, Alli was kind enough to provide a few, live from Arlington.
Fun from the game notes.:
- Casper Wells went 4-for-4 last night to join Austin Jackson's perfect 5-for-5 earlier in the season. The game notes report: "It is the first time the Tigers have had two rookies accomplish
the feat in a game in the same season since Gene Lamont and Marv Lane did so for the
club in 1974." - Galarraga has an ERA of 2.01 during his last five starts dating back to August 20. But he hasn't won on the road since June 24. He only time against the Rangers this season he allowed four runs in 7.1 innings with six strikeouts.
