1. Since the start of the best-of-7 format in 1985, only 4 teams have not made it to the World Series when leading 3-1 in the ALCS (‘85 Blue Jays, ‘86 Angels, '04 Yankees, '07 Indians). The Tigers hope to add the '11 Rangers to that list.
2. Texas starter C.J. Wilson only has only pitched at Comerica Park 5 times in his career. He is 0-1 with a 6.75 ERA and 7 strikeouts. Justin Verlander on the other hand loves Comerica Park. In 98 games, he is 57-23 with a 3.24 ERA and 595 strikeouts.
