The Toledo Mud Hens will be the Detroit Tigers' Triple-A affiliate for at leas four more seasons, the team announced today. I don't now if that makes Klinger happy, but fans who want to see Tigers' minor leaguers in action without a long drive should be pretty excited.
Actually, it's hard to remember a time the Mud Hens and Tigers weren't affiliated. The Tigers and Hens have been linked since 1987, which gives them the fifth oldest current Triple-A affiliation. (If you're curious: Richmond/Gwinnett-Atlanta, since 1966, is the oldest.)
What are some of your favorite Mud Hens memories?
