As if hanging out with your friends from BYB isn't enough incentive, the weekend of the meet-up is apparently Negro Leagues weekend. There is a Detroit Stars cap giveaway to the first 10,000 fans that arrive at our game on July 16th. I assume this also means they'll be wearing the throwback uniforms as well. Reminder: this game has a 4:10pm start.
Go me - I got our seats reserved a whole month earlier than last year. This gives everyone that wants to go some extra time to make plans and send in ticket payment. We'll be sitting in section 113 this year. I asked for 114 but they didn't have room for our expanded group - I've got 40 seats, a number I can change if necessary.
Info on sending your payment is after the jump. Please remember I put up my own money for the deposit - if you know you want to go and can pay right now, take a second and do that ASAP. We have to have all the ticket money turned in by June 16 at the very latest.
The easiest way for me to keep track of your payments is if you send your $35 per ticket to me via PayPal. You can do this by logging into your PayPal account and clicking "send money" to my email address: amh1980 at gmail.com. Please be sure to do two things when you send your payment:
1. Mark it as a "gift" to avoid extra fees being taken out of the transaction
2. Put your BYB username - even if you are sure I'll know who you are - somewhere in the notes so I can keep track of who sent what payment.
Patty will be helping me organize once again this year, and she will be assisting those without PayPal just like last year. However, she no longer has her PO Box, so if you would like to pay by check or money order, please email her at pjustice1957 at gmail.com to get her address. When sending her money, please specify your BYB username. She and I are keeping track of everything with a spreadsheet.
