Rhymes has 3 hits, Coke gives up 7 runs as Tigers lose

Phil Coke had his biggest stumble of spring training, allowing seven runs (three earned) on five hits and three walks in 3 2/3 innings. Six of the seven runs came in the fourth inning, five of those with two outs after Miguel Cabrera made an error on a fly ball. Unfortunately, Coke walked the next two batters before his day ended. The coup de grace came off Adam Wilk, who later in the inning gave up a grand slam to Albert Pujols.

Lefty reliever Daniel Schlereth did no better himself, as he walked four and got just one out during his appearance. Good thing it's spring training.

On the bright side of things, Tigers second baseman Will Rhymes had three hits and scored a run. Miguel Cabrera added two hits. Clete Thomas had two hits and drove in two runs. Back to pitching, Robbie Weinhardt threw 1 2/3 scoreless innings.
