AAA: Toledo @ Syracuse postponed (rain)
LJ Gagnier dominated Reading in a complete game shutout in the first game of Erie's doubleheader today. Gagnier went seven innings (minor league doubleheaders are two innings shorter) while walking one and striking out six. Rawley Bishop was 2-3 with a home run and Bryan Holaday was 1-2 with a home run.
Ramon Garcia took the start for the bullpen, giving up two earned runs in three innings. Chance Ruffin pitched a scoreless ninth, striking out one and getting the win. Shawn Roof was 2-2 with a walk and Rawley Bishop was 1-2 with two walks.
Jared Wesson probably wants to forget today. He allowed seven earned runs in 2.1 innings, striking out two but also allowing two home runs. The offense was pretty stagnant as well. Avisail Garcia was 1-4 with a home run, so that's cool.
Josue Carreno went four innings, giving up four earned runs while striking out six, walking one and allowing a home run. Hernan Perez was 2-4 with a double and a stolen base.
