AAA: Toledo 6, Syracuse 2 (Game 1)
Charlie Furbush dominated Syracuse over a full seven innings. He gave up two earned runs, striking out 11 and walking one, while giving up a homer. Ryan Strieby went 2-3 with a double and a homer and Scott Sizemore was 1-3 with a homer.
Chris Oxspring pitched 3.2 innings, giving up one earned run while striking out three and walking two. Timo Perez and Andy Dirks were both 2-3.
Luke Putkonen gave up nine runs (seven earned) in three innings. Rawley Bishop went 2-3 with a home run and Francsisco Martinez went 2-3 with a double and a homer.
Victor Larez gave up seven runs in 5.1 innings, though only two runs were earned. Avisail Garcia went 3-5 with a double, Jordan Lennarton was 3-5 with a double and Wade Gaynor was 2-4 with a double and a walk.
Kevin Eichhorn gave up six runs (five earned) in six innings. That's the bad news. The good news? 11 strikeouts. Edwin Gomez and Ryan Enos were both 1-3 with a double.
